but what if they tip well?

then they are someone willing to pay someone for service over treating them like a human being. the two should not be mutually exclusive.

I find that it’s a really big deal to me when people are genuinely nice to strangers. The guy I’ve been dating for a little over a month now, we went to Steak n Shake the other week and somehow I always get the same waitress when I go to that particular one. She’s a little older and a hoot and she always remembers me somehow too. She talks a lot, but it’s fine because she’s always cracking jokes and such. My boyfriend was totally cool with it and was talking and laughing with her too and when we were getting up to leave, I noticed he quietly slipped a ten dollar tip on the table for her without saying anything before grabbing my hand to leave. It probably doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it was to me and it made me like him even that much more.
